DESCRIPTION:Kingfisher Book Group Begins Again in March!\nIn-Person on March 16; Via Zoom on March 20 \nCome read a book together! All are invited to the Kingfisher Book Group. We have two branches of the group. \nOne meets on Zoom on the third Wednesday of the month\, at 10am. That is March 20. Check the newsletter for the ZOOM link. \nThe other branch meets in person at the home of Sherrie L at 1:30pm on the third Saturdays of the month. That is March 16. \nPeople are invited to attend one or both of the March gatherings.  If you plan to attend the in person version\, please let Sherrie know and she can give you information about her address\, etc. Her e-mail is lyonssherrie3@gmail.com \nWe will read Reconciliation: Healing the Inner Child by Thich Nhat Hanh. \n“A simple but penetrating perspective on transforming our childhood pain and confusion into strength and clarity.” (Thomas Moore\, Care of the Soul.) Thich Nhat Hanh offers unique insights on how mindfulness practice can encourage wellness and balanced mental health\, and help heal childhood suffering and trauma. With personal stories\, techniques for dealing with old and new situations\, and advice for building strong and long-lasting relationships\, Reconciliation is full of concrete practices for healing the inner child. Nhat Hanh shows how mindfulness can transform anger\, sadness\, and fear and allow joy and tranquility to flourish. \nThe book is 184 pages long\,  We’ll read this book slowly in order to absorb its messages and perhaps for some of us\, deal with our own inner child. So for the first meeting in March\, we would read the first 50 pages\, which comprises: \nPart One: \n\nThe Energy of Mindfulness\nWe Are Our Ancestors\, We Are Our Children\nOriginal Fear\, original Desire\nBreathing\, Walking\, and Letting Go\n\nThe sangha has funds to help you purchase the book if you need them.
