(Contact her for the address)Please RSVP to Dorothy by December 7 with the number attending and what you’re bringing for the potluck.  Her email is: dorovie@aol.com. \nThis event will be a stocking stuffing party\, plus a potluck! Please bring light vegetarian foods\, refreshments\, or desserts. \nWe will be taking all the individual items that were gathered for the monastics at Blue Cliff Monastery and getting it ready to be handed out to them!  Individual items may be purchased and delivered to Dorothy BEFORE the December 14 gathering **OR** you can bring gifts with you!  We specifically are looking for hats\, gloves\, and socks in BROWN or BLACK in color. You may also choose to give other gifts such as toiletries\, candy\, and stocking-stuffing items to bring them joy. \nDo you want to contribute\, but don’t have time to drop off items or go shopping?\nHere is a gift giving guide with easy purchase options for the monastics. You are absolutely welcome to purchase from your local shops! In fact\, you can probably find good sales and deals if you are out shopping in-person.  And we don’t need exact items on this list. This is just meant as a helpful guide if you need an “easy button” this year. The last three years were huge successes and lots of fun! Let’s keep it going!! \nIt used to be that the Sangha raised its operating funds with Dana collection baskets at its individual in-person sit locations. That no longer happens. We now rely on the July Annual Fundraiser for the Sangha’s General Fund\, which supports: various operating expenses such as printing\, copying\, postage\, the Sangha brochure\, Day of Mindfulness expenses; donations in support of monasteries and other spiritual centers; scholarships for brothers and sisters to attend retreats and other events; other expenses as approved by the Care-Taking Council/Community Meeting. \nThe Sangha’s ability to hold separate fundraising events (book/yard sales\, etc.) is limited\, making the Annual General Fund Drive in July its one and only source of revenue.
