The book club is currently reading The Eight Realizations of Great Beings by Brother Phap Hai. In this book, Brother Phap Hai presents a lively, down-to-earth explanation of spirituality’s original self-help manual. Beginning with a brief historical overview, he explores each of the eight realizations and shares a story in each chapter from his own journey to become a monk.
In keeping with past practice, the book club alternates meeting dates/times between weekdays and weekends every two book selections. Meetings for this book and the next will be held during the week.
