The following items highlight some extra “happenings” going on by the Kingfisher community as a whole.
Kingfisher Sangha is pleased to offer many options for giving back to our local and Plum Village communities this year. The sangha plans to give from sangha funds (details below), and there are opportunities for individual giving as well. Giving is never required but is always welcome if you are able to do so. 1. Collection for the Monastics at Blue Cliff Monastery. Kingfisher Sangha has made the decision to contribute $400 for the monastics at Blue Cliff on behalf of our sangha as a whole. In addition, we will be collecting hats, gloves, socks, and scarves (winter-related items) for the 42 monastics…

Are you interested in learning more about the Buddhist teachings and practices? Please join us as we gather to read and discuss Sutras, chants, practice Touching the Earth, recite the Five Mindfulness Trainings, and other practices in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. If you have a copy of the book Chanting From the Heart, please bring it. Don’t worry if you don’t!
