Second Body Practice
Please respond by December 20th (if interested)
Are you interested in supporting a sister or brother in their practice?
Kingfisher Sangha will begin another session of Second Body Practice starting in December. This session will run from December through June. If you have been practicing in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh for a year or more and are interested in being paired up with someone for this upcoming session, please contact Dee @ spiritbear50@gmail.com or Shannon @ shanoid129@yahoo.com no later than December 20th.
Second body practice is a traditional Buddhist practice where one person becomes a “second body” for another. We are our own “first body” and a Sangha friend becomes our “second body.” This practice is not for any therapeutic or advice giving purpose. No one is expected to fix the other person or to offer help beyond his or her capacity. Second body practice is an act of deep presence and listening. During the time of meeting, in person, on the phone or Zoom there is a sharing of one’s life in the practice. This is also a terrific opportunity to get to know your Sangha brothers and sisters better and to strengthen the bonds in our little community.
